We bring the latest AI tools and practical knowledge directly into neighbourhood spaces, so nobody gets left behind in the biggest technology shift of our lifetime.
Curriculum refreshes every term. When a model release or workflow shift actually matters, it is folded into the next class instead of waiting for next year.
Whether you are 14, retired, or already writing code for a living, there is a track that meets you where you are without slowing the room down.
Classes run in community centres, libraries, and town halls across Melbourne, which keeps the journey short and the relationships local.
Every track ends with a real output: an AI workflow, a creative project, a chatbot, or a deployable system you can keep using after the course ends.
Structured 12-week programs from first steps to advanced systems work, with hands-on sessions every week and laptops ready on arrival.
Your first step into AI. No coding required. Learn what it is, how to use it well, and how to stay sharp when tools and claims are changing fast.
Move from user to creator. Build AI-powered apps, automate workflows, and ship projects you can actually show people.
Deep technical training at the frontier, from model behaviour and evaluation to production systems, agents, and capstone delivery.
Morning, afternoon, and evening options. Every session includes hands-on lab time, local support, and provided laptops if you need one.
Perfect for working adults who want a clear weekly rhythm and a practical way to start using AI more effectively at home and at work.
BeginnerMid-week deep work for people ready to write code, connect APIs, and get instructor help while building a project with real momentum.
IntermediateExtended technical sessions for advanced learners pushing into evaluations, deployment, agent orchestration, and higher-rigor capstones.
AdvancedWeekend drop-in energy: a morning beginner class followed by open lab time for enrolled students across all tracks.
All levelsPeople arrive curious or uncertain. They leave with practical confidence, new local connections, and something real they built themselves.
I came in thinking AI was just for tech people. Eight weeks later I had automated half my admin work and built a chatbot for my small business. Total game changer.
My daughter and I took the Foundations course together. It was the first time in years we had learned something side by side, and the instructors made it fun for both of us.
The Engineers track was properly rigorous. Fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, deploying agents. I landed an AI role within a month of finishing the program.
If you can use a web browser and ask questions, you can start. The beginner pathway is designed for complete newcomers.
Not at all. AI Foundations is designed for complete beginners. If you can use a browser and send an email, you are ready. We provide laptops during sessions, so you do not need to bring your own.
Foundations is open to ages 14 and up. Builders and Engineers are for ages 16 and up. We regularly teach learners in their 60s, 70s, and 80s alongside teenagers and working professionals.
Yes. There are no tuition fees, subscriptions, or hidden charges. Synapse is funded by community grants, council partnerships, and sponsors who want AI education to be broadly accessible.
Classes are capped at 16 learners with one lead instructor and one assistant. The goal is hands-on learning, not a lecture theatre where half the room gets lost.
Yes. Instructors update the material every term, and when a release changes the way people actually work, it gets folded into the next class rather than ignored.
Term 3 enrolments are open now. Spots are capped at 16 per session so every learner gets real support.
Spots are limited to 16 per session. We'll be in touch with next steps.
We'll email you with everything you need before your first session.
